Personal: How to get out of a creative rut

Every now and then, usually around the same time of year, I find myself in a bit of a creative rut.

I've never been really good with downtime so when wedding season ends, the holidays pass and the new year begins, I usually find myself feeling pretty restless.

To avoid getting into a funk,  I try to focus on my fitness, personal health and relationships as well as pick up a fun passion project.  Something not wedding related where I have full creativity.

So when my cousin came into town a few weeks ago to spend the weekend with us, I had her dress up and model for me.

She is a darling young, bright, camera shy, 20-something year old, with THE BEST lips ever!  So, naturally I had to take her in for hair and make-up and put her in front of the camera and try to make her as uncomfortable as possible.  Jokes aside, she did great and we all had so much fun just playing around, being silly and enjoying the gorgeous weather.

The scans came in this week and I couldn't be happier with the results!  Below are a few of my faves.

With a few weeks off between weddings, I'm working on finding a new personal/passion project and would love to hear what ideas you guys might have or if you have something fun you are working on.
